I hesitated, unsure if I could trust the mysterious girl. Her piercing green eyes seemed sincere, but Emily's transformation had left me wary.
"Who are you?" I asked, trying to keep the creatures at bay.
"My name is Ava," she replied, her voice urgent. "I've been trapped here for years. I know the way out."
Ava grabbed my hand, and we fled through the twisted landscape. The creatures closed in, their ember-like eyes burning brighter.
As we ran, Ava revealed: "This realm is a nexus for dark entities. Emily's family unknowingly summoned one."
We reached a crumbling mansion, its walls covered in ancient symbols.
"This is our escape route," Ava said, leading me inside.
But as we navigated the labyrinthine halls, I sensed a trap.
"Ava, what's your true motive?" I asked, my heart racing.
Ava's eyes flickered with hesitation. "I need your help to defeat the entity controlling Emily."
Suddenly, Emily appeared, her black eyes blazing.
"Ava, you traitor," she spat.
Ava stood firm. "I won't let you harm my friend."
