Former NBA President and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), JB Daudu, has responded to SAN Femi Falana’s assertion that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, does not have the authority to build houses for judges in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Daudu rejected allegations that actions like purchasing vehicles, constructing judges' quarters, and renovating courts were attempts to influence judicial decisions, labeling these claims as unfounded and malicious.

He also referenced the FCT Minister's denial of any wrongdoing through his Special Assistant, asserting that the executive’s support for judicial infrastructure was neither unlawful nor unethical.

Daudu stated, “Certain legal circles have recently alleged that actions such as buying vehicles, building residences for judges, and renovating courtrooms by the executive arm of government amount to inducements or attempts to buy justice.” He emphasized that these allegations were false and aimed at tarnishing the judiciary's image.
