  • Sorrow's Lullaby by Blessing01
In the twilight, where shadows play
I'll whisper my sorrow, in a lonely way
The stars above, they twinkle bright
But can't illuminate, the darkness of night

My heart's a heavy burden, weighed down by pain
A love that's lost, and can never be regained
I wander through nights, with tears in my eyes
Searching for solace, in a lonely surprise
In the silence, I hear your name
A whispered promise, of a love that's in vain

Oh, sorrow's lullaby, sing me to sleep
In the darkness, my heart will softly creep
Oh, sorrow's lullaby, echoes in my mind
A melancholy serenade, forever left behind

    Summer's gone, and winter's chill
Frosty winds, that whisper your name still
I drive through nights, with the radio on
Hoping to find, a love that's gone
In the rearview, I see your face
A fleeting memory, of a love that's erased

Oh, sorrow's lullaby, sing me to sleep
In the darkness, my heart will softly creep
Oh, sorrow's lullaby, echoes in my mind
A melancholy serenade, forever left behind

In dreams, I see you, in shadows so dark
    A silhouette, of a love that's embarked
On a journey, where I'll never roam
Forever lost, in this sorrowful home

    Sorrow's lullaby, that's my refrain
A haunting melody, that echoes through pain.

  • As a member of RCCG (Redeemed Christian Church of God) on Banana Island, Lekki, I shared Jesus' love with African construction workers (18-40) from DR Congo, Liberia, Benin Rep, Togo, Ghana, and Niger, living adjacent to the British quarters on the island. Their supervisor, an elderly RCCG pastor from Ebute Meta, ironically forbade them from attending church with me.

Despite this, I consistently invited them to RCCG, preached, and prayed with them often. However, it seemed like my efforts yielded no fruit.

After relocating to the mainland to care for my grandma, I attended LFC (Living Faith Church) Ota. On my third or fourth Sunday, I witnessed a miraculous breakthrough. The toughest skeptic among the construction workers stood up, accepting Jesus publicly! Unbeknownst to him, I was in the congregation, and my heart swelled with joy and tears.

My labour wasn't wasted. I think God wanted me to know that my dedication and love had made a lasting impact. Sometimes, we may not see immediate results, but God's seeds of love always bear fruit.

    Don't give up on people.
    Pray persistently, even after rejection.

    Don't give up yet.
