  • Good day house. Mine is not a relationship issue. By God’s grace I am a well to do man aged 38 from southern Nigeria, based in Canada for more than 15 years where I work as a senior civil engineer in a construction company with free accommodation and utility car. The matter which brought me here is that my community back home celebrated her new yam festival some weeks ago and I bought three big cows ( one for the king and elders in council, one for the women, and the third one for the youths) to celebrate the festival. People of God, since then my village people have been calling me to come back home and contest for the chairmanship position of our local government council. The local government election will take place next year and now they are putting pr3ssure on me to resign from my lucrative job in Canada and come home. Mind you , I have never played politics all my life and I do not belong to any political party. But my village people have told me not to w0rry that they are ready to follow me to any political party and work with me to win the election next year. They have given me from now till the end of the year to resign from my job in Canada and relocate to Naija to contest the local government election.

Right now am so confus3d about the whole thing and I don’t know what to do. Please I need advice. Should I quit my job and return home to take the political r1$k or I should resi$t the pre$$ure of my village people and continue to live my cool life here in Canada?
