  • I watched a video about a historical event, and after doing some research, I found out it was true.

    Here’s the story:

This is the story of the "church choir coincidence" that happened on March 1, 1950, at the West Side Baptist Church in Beatrice, Nebraska. The church choir, made up of 15 members, was scheduled to meet for practice at 7:20 PM that evening. The choir was known for being very punctual, with nearly everyone showing up on time for previous practices.

However, on that particular night, all 15 members were late for different, unrelated reasons:

One person overslept after taking a nap.

    Another's car wouldn't start.

Some were held up by schoolwork or household chores.

Others were delayed by various last-minute issues.

Amazingly, at exactly 7:25 PM—just five minutes after practice was supposed to begin—the church exploded due to a gas leak. The explosion completely destroyed the building, and if the choir members had been inside, they likely would have died.

The surprising part is that all 15 choir members were late for different reasons on that very night.

My question is: Could this be the greatest recorded coincidence in history, or was it a sign of divine intervention?

This event is often seen as one of the most incredible coincidences ever, with no lives lost despite the tragic timing.

In your opinion, was this a coincidence or a miracle?

  • Today in History, on October 1, 1996, Ebonyi State was created by General Sani Abacha.

After independence in 1960, the area now known as Ebonyi was part of the post-independence Eastern Region until 1967, when the region was split, and the area became part of East Central State. East Central State remained until 1976, when its northern part became Anambra State, and the southern part became Imo State. Fifteen years later, Anambra and Imo were further divided, with their eastern parts becoming Enugu State and Abia State, respectively. It was not until 1996 that the eastern part of Enugu State and the northeastern part of Abia were split off to form Ebonyi State.

As we celebrate Ebonyi State’s 28th anniversary today, our prayer is for the success of Ebonyi, the southeast, and all of Igboland.
