  • After a very long hiatus, the producers of Wúrà finally listened to our pleas and released the final and third season. The first episode is now available on Showmax.

They kept us waiting for too long, man. I almost lost interest. No be their fault sha, na me dey find the downfall of Wúrà

The new season picked up where it left off, with the whole town buzzing in preparation for Tumi's wedding.

Maami who was initially insisting that Tumi wear her "expensive 8k wedding gown", finally gave in, and was full of praise when she saw her daughter dazzling in the gown she'd chosen. Ego's portrayal of an overly religious, old-fashioned mother is topnotch, I must say.

Meanwhile, the ever promiscuous groom-to-be, Jeje, decided to have one last night out with the boys at the club, where he got seduced by his ex. I actually hope he gets into tr0uble and the wedding is called off!

The episode ended with a cliffhanger : the real father of Dimeji's supposed son, Jamal, showed up when Dimeji, was having a family time with his wife and son. Ghen-ghen-ghen. I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm afraid Dimeji is in for another web of lies. And the boy fit fall for am. Na mumu for love

I'm completely hoked on Wúrà sha. It's the most engaging Nigerian series I've seen in a while.

Are you following too? What episode did you stop?

  • Tiwa Savage, born Tiwatope Omolara Savage on February 5, 1980, is a renowned Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Isale Eko, Lagos, she spent her early years in Nigeria before relocating to London at the age of 11 to pursue her secondary education.

After completing her studies, Savage's passion for music led her back to Nigeria, where she joined Mavin Records in 2012. This marked the beginning of her successful music career. Her debut studio album, "Once Upon a Time," was released on July 3, 2013, to critical acclaim. The album earned her nominations for Best Album of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and Best R&B/Pop Album at The Headies 2014.

In her personal life, Tiwa Savage married Tunji "Tee Billz" Balogun in 2013. Their traditional marriage took place on November 23, 2013, at The Ark in Lekki, Lagos, followed by a white wedding on April 26, 2014, at the Armani Hotel in Dubai. The couple welcomed their son in 2015.

However, their marriage was short-lived. In April 2016, Tee Billz publicly accused Tiwa of infidelity and her mother of witchcraft. In a tell-all interview with This Day newspaper and Pulse Nigeria, Tiwa Savage addressed the allegations, debunking claims of infidelity and instead citing Tee Billz's financial recklessness, drug addiction, and abandonment as reasons for their marriage collapse.

Despite the challenges, Tiwa Savage continues to thrive in the music industry, blending afrobeats, R&B, pop, and hip-hop to create unique sounds. Her contributions to the Nigerian music industry have earned her numerous awards and accolades.

  • Who says thereʼs no money in making money in Nigeria?

Nollywood is currently the second-largest movie Industry in the world and we have seen how they came to be. How they have blessed us with intriguing storyline and plots.

According to Wikipedia, these are the top ten highest-grossing movies in Nigeria.

Whatʼs even crazier is that; the top three movies are movies by Funke Akindele. She has become a force to reckon with over the years.

    Walk with me.

  • “Battle on Buka Street” looks like your typical Nollywood family drama, but no, it has an engaging narrative. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll roll your eyes.

Funke Akindele and Mercy Johnson are their usual fantastic selves; the blend of comedy and drama is well-balanced, keeping viewers invested.

But the ending? It falls short.

It was rushed like a student trying to finish their exam in 10 minutes. It's like the producers just said, "We don. tire, make we just wrap this thing up abeg."

Despite that, "Battle on Buka Street" is still a compelling movie to watch. Comedy, drama, and all the vibes.

The acting, cinematography, and themes are commendable, the acting, visuals, and themes are on point. I will commend that too.

With a ʼtighterʼ ending, and not a loose one, the movie would have been a 10/10.
